The final member of the team received her card on November 23rd.

CFSC’s team includes:

They will be participating in community-based conflict reduction activities in Kinshasa organized by the local Quaker Meeting’s Service Committee, Project Muinda, who have received accreditation for 100 local Congolese observers.

The “Quaker 5″, as they have begun to call themselves,  arrived in Kinshasa on Nov. 18  and will be staying till Dec.2, 2011. One member, Eric Schiller, plans to be in the Kivu area (Goma and Bukavu) during Dec. 2- 14. 2011, visiting the local Quaker meeting there and two human rights organizations, Congo Yetu and Heritiers de la Justice.

The upcoming elections in the D. R. Congo may be marked by some instability. The group will attempt to send regular reports of their experiences during their stay.
