Today, we share in grieving of the many thousands of people who have lost their lives over the past year as a result of continued, horrific, state-sanctioned and disheartening violence present in Israel, Palestine, and now the surrounding region.
As Quakers, we continue to hold space for that of God/Light/Good in all of humanity, and believe that no human should be harmed at the hand of another. May we be challenged today by the need for complex and compassionate thinking, and spurred toward continued calls for a ceasefire, arms embargo, the release of all hostages, and the resumption of diplomatic dialogue between all parties.
