CFSC welcomes new Indigenous Rights Program Coordinator Sarah Bear!

We’re excited to welcome the newest member of our small staff team, Sarah Bear! Sarah is Wolastoqey from Neqotkuk (Tobique First Nation). She holds a Master of Public Policy and Global Affairs from the University of British Columbia.

Prior to joining CFSC her work has focused on Indigenous rights, governance, and community-led approaches to policy and advocacy. Her previous roles have spanned Indigenous education, policy, research, and teaching, including work supporting Indigenous post-secondary students and teaching English in South Korea.

Sarah believes that meaningful change begins with listening, relationship-building, and a willingness to learn from others. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, hiking, trying new recipes, and rarely turns down the chance to watch a hockey or football match.
